    中文的语音系统与英语语音系统的异大于同。这是造成中国人英语发音不准的一个很重要的原因。
The differences between the sound systems of the two languages outweigh the similarities of the two systems, which should be to blame for the misarticulation among Chinese.
两个语音系统的主要区别之处有：一、语音分布，二、语音变化。
The major differences of the two systems are: phonetic distribution and variation of sounds.
    中文的语音分布和英文的差别主要在于：中文习惯以元音结尾，而英文习惯以辅音结尾；
中文中不会出现连续的辅音，一般辅音与元音相间，而英文中经常出现连续的辅音且中间不夹杂元音。
The differences in phonetic distribution are: Chinese words tend to be ended with vowels, English words with consonants; there is no consonant clusters in Chinese and consonants generally alternate with vowels, vast numbers of consonants clusters in English.  
我们在学习和生活中经常可以发现第一个差别在国人身上的表现。
It is fairly easy to find the effects of the first difference on Chinese in study and daily life.
如中国人习惯将单词ride读成rider。
Chinese, for example, always pronounce ride like rider.
第二个差别在国人身上的表现是将English读成Engalish。
The effect of the second difference on Chinese is that many Chinese read the word English as Engalish.
解决办法是把自己读英语的声音录下，听录音仔细地寻找自己英语发音中的“中国腔”。
The resolution to the problems above may be that first record your sound as you read English, and then compare your sound against the record carefully to find the “Chinese accent” in your pronunciation.
    中文与英语在语音变化上的主要差别在于中文中只有将发音略微模糊的习惯，而英语中除了有语音模糊以外还有掉音、连音。这一差别在国人身上的体现是，国人读英语经常能够以令老外惊人的清晰度，将每一个单词读（讲）出来；国人听外国人讲话时又会惊叹他们将几个单词读成“一个单词”的本领。如国人听外国人读”Bush and his top aides’时就像听到“Bushanistopaides”这一个单词。解决办法是多听外国广播，尽力模仿的播音员的连音和掉音。

语音的差异据说是因为饮食结构不同而造成的。东方人以稻米和蔬菜为主食，西方人以麦制品和荤菜为主食，从而口腔肌肉结构不同。

另外，据说中国南北方言的差异也是因为主食是稻米和小麦的不同而不同。南方多尖团音，而北方则基本没有。但根据这个理论应该北方人的口腔肌肉结构和西方人更接近，而为什么我老觉得北方人的英语实在惨不忍闻，疑惑中...

season说得可能有一定的道理。但是没什么普遍意义，我接触过很多法国人，他们的饮食结构和英国人差不多吧，但是法国人讲英语很多人法国强很重，就像在说法语。还有日本人似乎是在把一个个英文单词分拆成片假名在读，怪怪的。

这个说法只是我听说的，我自己也觉得不太能说明问题，像北方人的饮食习惯和英语差的矛盾我前面就提过。
